Yes. If you need to move days around on the calendar, just press down until the workout unlocks and then drag to the day day you want it on. You can sync your calendar with Google calendar and many others.
We apply the philosophy that strength training should address the need for powerful athletics, without tearing the athlete down. This means a 4 day schedule, with workouts taking about 45 minutes, with the first two days focusing on effort or Absolute Strength. The last two days focus on Power Endurance which means applying force under load over and over.
You will access it by the Kettlebell icon at the bottom of the homescreen.
Once inside the Kettlebell you will see the Combat Tracker section that houses the trackers for BJJ, Striking, Escape, Submission, Sweep, and Takedowns. Enter the first tracker you need, hit the Start Now button at the bottom center, enter your points, then hit save. If you do not have points, you can put 0 or leave it blank.
When we say "build absolute strength", we mean strength that comes from building dense muscle fibers by putting them under short bursts of heavy load. These are not big glamour muscles. Picture the lean fighter who you know hits like a truck. That's absolute strength.
Power endurance means being able to apply heightened levels of force over and over. A simple way to say this is if your natural punch was a 5 and your built punch is a 7, power endurance means applying 6.2 repeatedly until you can do it like a machine.
Get more depth on this in the video above about the Arts of Strength method.
It starts in the setup when you first open the app. Be sure to accurately enter your height, your current weight, and when you choose activity level, think of 6 days a week of training plus a construction job as highly active, and think of training 6 days a week and a desk job as moderately active. If you need to adjust this, you can do so in My Profile in the app.
Using your weight, height, and activity level the app will calculate your macros and adjust all your meal sizes accordingly. As your weight changes, you can update it inside the app and everything meal related will automatically adjust.
Though you can set many of the habits tracked to be able to be displayed and updated on the homescreen, most of your tracking will be accessed in the menu that pops up when you place the floating (+) symbol on the bottom right of the homescreen.
From this menu you can add your own workouts, track general activities like hiking or various sports, meal activities, body stats, and sleep tracking.
The habit functions tracks heart rate and other data points. It receives this data from your wearable, such as Fitbit, Garmin, or Apple Health/Google fit compatible device.
No. We focus on building dense muscle so you stay in your preferred weight class, and keeping it to about 45 minutes for lifting so you've got fuel for training martial arts.
